1/9/2024 0 Comments Update file on frameioIf you've previously exported an EDL, FCPXML, or FCP7 XML from your preferred NLE, Frame.io Transfer can download all linked assets directly from your selected project or folder, without you having to search and download assets manually. The Frame.io Transfer app also offers selective download support for EDL, FCPXML, and FCP7 XML files to help you find and download your assets on Frame.io more efficiently. As originally announced in October 2022 for the X-H2S mirrorless digital camera, the firmware update will allow X-H2 digital camera users with the FT-XH file transmitter accessory the ability to use their paid Adobe Creative Cloud or Frame.io subscriptions and any active internet connection to deliver any combination of still or video. If a file is unverified by a checksum, the Frame.io link to the file will be listed for quick access to see if the file was delivered without any issues. If a file has failed, the log will give a further explanation for the reason. Once completed, the log file will display if the files were uploaded, verified, unverified, failed, canceled, and if any new folders were created in the process. The log file will be saved in the same location as the selected file and can be adjusted via the app preferences. If viewed while the action is in progress, the log will update in real-time with the upload/download status information. Click the Continue with Adobe button which redirects you to the Adobe authentication portal. Enter the email associated with your Creative Cloud subscription and click Let's go. It redirects to the Frame.io authentication portal on the web. To access the log file, right-click on any in-progress or completed transfer. Open the in-app panel from Window > Extensions > Frame.io, click Continue or the Sign in button. It would have saved time and machine time in this case.A log file containing each asset's status and progress within a batch will be created with every upload and download. Resolve should allow a Frame user to relink/resync manually to media we can point to on Frame (in this case with the same duration and filename. Post is all about efficiency and saving moves (you know this) so there should never be situations where this many hoops have to be jumped through and renders should never have to happen more than one time, ever. Most post professionals who understand frame enough to use it (not their clients) can handle a bit of manual override. I can see so many instances where the metadata should be easy to move or relink to other media on Frame. I'd like to ask the Team to build in some kind of manual syncing features. Resolve is quite strict about how it wants to interface with frame io and it wants to create a locked relationship between a timeline and frame media (i can see the usefulness of that). If you are looking to download two or more items at once, youll be directed to download the Frame.io Transfer App, which helps download bulk content, large. It not elegant as i will have to reupload 32 timelines and copy paste the notes from each one, one at a time, but it does give me the functionality i was looking for. The workaround it to render and upload then file from within resolve, then in frame copy the notes from the old version and paste them into the new version. There currently is no way to "sync comments" an uploaded file (rendered then uploaded outside of Resolve) The EDL export function of FRAME.io does not currently work (they are working on it) The problem has been that I have been unable to get notes from Frame.io onto a Resolve timeline.
